CloudAlbums employs the Cloud Service by Dropbox, free up to 2 Gb.
Your albums will be centralized on the cloud; therefore they will always be editable, both by your browser or by your iPad or iPhone, wherever you may be. With CloudAlbums you can create, synchronize, send and receive all the albums you want. You can add max 50 photos for each album. You can keep your friends informed about the last pictures you have taken, you can automatically create a website with all your pics and albums, allowing those of your friends who do not have an Apple device to visualize your images. You will also be able to post the link on your Facebook or Twitter page. Moreover, if you do not want to share an album or some pics anymore, all you have to do is deleting them: they will automatically be deleted from your friends albums. You can create albums either from your PC, directly in the Dropbox folder, or from your Apple device. In Free Mode, you will be able to create just one album, without limits of uploadable pics, and you will also be able to receive limitless albums from your friends. After having installed the App, you will be able to create your Dropbox account from the starting interface without connecting to any website.
If you already are a Dropbox user, you just have to log in. The free Dropbox account provides you with 2Gb.
You will also be able to use your Dropbox account data to install the Dropbox client directly on your PC,
in order to create albums from your PC and synchronize them with your friend and your Apple devices (although this is not mandatory).
If you only wish to receive albums from your friends, you will not need to register or to use any Dropbox account.
How to create and synchronize albums directly from your PC?After having installed the Dropbox client, downloadable from the website www.dropbox.com, you will create the albums in the "Public\Albums" folder, located in the Dropbox folder in your PC: just utilize the "New Folder" functions of Windows or Mac OS. Please remember that when you create an album in your PC, the pics will not be downsized: be careful not to upload pics too much "large", otherwise the synchronization process will be slower. Beware: in Free Mode, the albums created from your PC or Mac other than the free album, will not be Synchronized on the devices. Each album can syncronize a max of 50 photos. |
